A highlight of my recent trip to Ontario was travelling through the Province of Saskatchewan. Before the trip all I heard was that the drive through Saskatchewan would be boring. Wrong on all counts. There is nothing more intriguing than driving on the Trans Canada Highway and seeing a tall grain elevator miles ahead in the distance. These buildings are huge. They stand tall and proud with the name of the small town they are located in. Most are located opposite railway tracks.
I especially enjoyed the old grain elevators. Some were abandoned and not in operation anymore. Some were fairly new and looked dull to me anyway. I especially enjoyed the grain elevators that were ;located in small town rural Saskatchewan. It was quite gratifying pulling off the highway and driving in a small town you had never heard off before and driving up to the grain elevator. They were all so big and colorful. The gallery attached to this post was a sample of what I saw. Enjoy. I did.
